The beggining of Tamarack
Tamarack, swift and cunning, and a noble gentleman. Before he became tamarack he was the son of a slave. His name was Ian. At a young age, his family sent him to a blacksmith to become his apprentice. Little did he know that the blacksmith, whose name was Gowen, was the leader of a forest mage council. When Ian walked into his shop he knew that he was the one. That Ian would be the one to lead the mage council to victory from torment and bad name. One day when Ian was making the blade of a special sword that an old man had asked him to make, Gowen presented him with the question of if he knew what a mage was. Of course Ian new what a mage was. His father would tell him storys about great mages that would defeat entire armys by himself, and how they could summon different forces of the Earth to command as they pleased. But the most exciting part was that they knew spells, magic, and could communicate with animals. After Ian's extravagent answer Gowen asked if he'd like to be one and to be trained by the Mage's Council. Ian's jaw dropped open. He knew that the Mage's Council trained only the very skilled and talented of the mages. "Yes" Ian shouted. "Good then" you will begin tommarow. From that day on Ian strived to be the best and to learn everything there was to know about the history and the future of the mages. Two years passed and the day had come where Ian would earn his name, sword, spellbook, and most important of all. His companian. Ian sat and watched the old mage open a leather backed book and began to read. "Name:Tamarack, forest mage, Sword:Dricun, and Companion: Griffin the wolf. Ian knew that this was time to go retrieve the spellbook from the withered old man. Right after he had recieved the book, an young looking wolf walked up to him. Ian smiled at the wolf in a dissapointed way. He thought it would a grand muscular wolf to bound up to him and sit at his feet. As Ian turned he heard a voice say to him "What you were expecting Wiley Coyote". He turned around quickly to see the wolf shut his mouth. "Hey I understood you". "ya thats saposed to happen". Ian smiled. As he went home Gowen walked up to him asked him to come to the shop real quik. When they got there Gowen took Ian to a shelve in the back of the room. He reached down and pulled out a t-shirt, a leather coat, and pair of pants an boots. He said "Here take it". Ian accepted the gift and told Gowen thank you. Gowen told him that from then on he would be known as Tamrack, the forest mage, and his companion Griffin would fight all who would threaten the existence of the earth.

Brimstone
This is Brimstone, a castle in Blackwood Forest, where Tamarack and Griffin live. The castle is partly surrounded by a lake. The source of this lake is a small river with a waterfall that empties into the lake. |
Griffin
Griffin is the fun and loveable companion that can be sarcastic and ferocious at the same time.
